Fade into the background

We were childhood lovers.But since I went to overseas for further studies,I started to get away from her.I thought I would be then a graduate but she still a form 5 holder only.I fancied the blondes and new cultures.Dating and new romance then pre-occupied me till I forgot the times passed by so unnoticeably.

Then I was jilted;the reason was I was too boring and she never fancied my cultures.I was too sad.Then I buried myself in books and outdoor games.Thinking of the girl in hometown,I wrote her a mail to apologize.The minute before I went posting her mail,I received a red envelop.From my hometown.I opened the mail and there was an invitation card from my girl.She was going to get married.My mind ran wild.I regretted but it was too late.Tears flooded me and I turned to liquors.

During the wedding ,she looked so pretty and the man beside her ,not that handsome but very manly.When I caught her eyes,all the sweet memories raced through my mind again.I still had strong feelings for her,my God!She smiled graciously and waved to sad me.I got a second blow.

I prefer to fade,fade into the background.Till today I am still single,regretting .
